“Feeling” is a scary word for many of us. We expect our bodies to be as reliable as we demand our vehicles to be. Ignoring our bodies’ messages of fatigue, malaise, joy and fear means that we miss an important aspect of our lives. By learning to “hear” what your body is telling you, you can make daily choices that work for you, rather than focusing more on the needs of others (e.g., spouses, children, parents, employers). Balance in our lives and in our bodies grounds us and supports healthy relationships.
